Who processes the data
The data controller is Aleš Ruda, the author of Henvasion. Contact: ales.ruda@arbot.cz.
What the game sends
- Anonymous ID: a random code the game creates on the phone. It does not tell who you are.
- To the leaderboards: score, stars, time and result of the night, controls, rank and, for the weekly challenge, the week. Other players see your rank, score and the first 4 characters of the ID.
- Statistics, only with consent: how the nights go (waves, kills, shots, weapons, baits, what damaged the tower, score, stars, aiming accuracy), loadout, rank, purchases and sales for game coins, daily tasks, the farm, game version, game and phone language, operating system and screen size.
- With every connection the server sees the phone's IP address; the Talo service derives the approximate country from it.
What the game does not send
Name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, advertising ID or anything from other apps. Notifications about the weekly challenge are scheduled on the phone only; nothing is sent for them. The game has no ads and no purchases for real money.
Why and on what basis
The leaderboards are part of the game and would not work without the ID and the scores. I process them on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy. The statistics are used only to tune the game (difficulty, controls, prices) and are sent only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time in the same place; what was sent before stays lawful. I do not sell the data, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you.
Where the data is
The data is stored by the Talo service (Talo Platform Ltd, United Kingdom) as a processor under a data processing agreement; its servers are in Germany. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). I do not pass the data to anyone else.
How long
I keep statistics and leaderboard entries for at most 2 years after your last game, then delete them. Uninstalling the game removes the ID from the phone; the data on the server can then no longer be linked to the phone and is deleted within the same period.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing and take it elsewhere, and to object. Write to ales.ruda@arbot.cz and include your anonymous ID from Settings → Privacy; without it I cannot find your data. I reply within a month. You can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz) or with the authority in your country.
Children
The game is for players aged 13 and over. Players under 15 (16 in some EU countries) agree to the statistics only with their parents' permission. If I learn that data belongs to a child under 13, I delete it.
Changes
When what the game sends changes (say, ads are added), I will update this policy and the game will ask you again. The current version is always in the game and at https://henvasion.arbot.cz/privacy/.
